Submit Hot Spot We are currently upgrading our Hot Spot submission system. During this time, to submit a spot, please email Jennifer Konerman at jennifer@promaxbda.org a link to a downloadable video and credits or upload your video to our FTP here and email Jennifer to confirm upload. Hot Spots FAQsWhat type of work can I submit? Any promotionally based on-air marketing or design work related to the television or video game industry such as a promo, video game trailer. We also accept special projects and show opens and branding/rebranding packages for consideration. We do not accept company reels. How often can I submit? We run a new spot every weekday, so you can submit as many spots for consideration as often as you’d like, but our policy is to run work that originally began airing within the last 2-3 weeks, and we try not to run work from the same submitting company more than twice a month. What type of file formats do you accept? Our system accepts all video file types including flv, mov, mp4, avi, 3gp, mpg, mpeg, mlv, m2v, m2p, mxf, vob, wmv, asf, yuv, mp3, aac, but for quickest uploading results, we recommend submitting files as a Qucktime H.264. Also, please make sure that the video file you're uploading contains no spaces or special characters (_ . ? =) in the video file name — only letters or numbers. How long before my submission will be featured? Unfortunately, due to the high volume of submission, not all spots will be featured in PromaxBDA’s Daily brief. Most spots that are chosen to run are featured within two weeks of their submission date, but factors including timeliness and the last date a submitting company’s spot was featured also factor into this. Will I be notified if my submission is going to run? Generally, we do not notify submitters before running their work, so if you have any concerns about a spot airing on certain date or did not finalize your credits when submitting, please contact the editorial department at jennifer@promaxbda.org. Will the description I submit with my video be used? Generally, all the video description for featured Hot Spots are written by PromaxBDA’s editorial department, but any information you wish to include when submitting is helpful. Who do I contact if I have questions? Please email all questions to jennifer@promaxbda.org.
